Welcome to Granville County Public Schools. Thank you for your interest in having your child(ren) attend our schools.
To register your child(ren) to attend a school in the Granville County Public School System, you must complete and present all of the forms contained in the Registration Packet including a valid picture ID and additional supporting documents requested to the school where your child(ren) will attend.
The Student Information & Registration Department gathers and processes all data on student enrollment and attendance, maintains detailed data contained in the Student Information System (SIS), exports and prepares student information reports, and prepares student enrollment projections for the school district.

Parents/legal guardians register students. Legal guardians must present court-ordered custody/guardianship documentation. Notarized statements are not acceptable.

In compliance with NC law, students must be 5 yrs of age on or before August 31st to be considered for Kindergarten.

All students who have not attended a NC Public School must have a health assessment by the 1st day of school. The physical exam report must be completed within 12 months of school.

NC law requires certification of immunizations on the first day of school. If It is not presented, 30 days will be given to provide documentation or the student shall be excluded from school.

A copy of a current utility bill (electric, gas, water/sewer) or a lease agreement/mortgage statement showing the physical address of your home within the last 60 days

A copy of your child’s birth certificate

The completed Health Assessment from a doctor with a copy of current immunizations for the child

Parent/Guardian photo ID

Transcript/Report Card from your child’s previous school (if available)
